It’s Just The Beginning

Our last night at Saint Monica’s was an emotional one. All of us were crying. The girls could not control their emotions and they found their faces buried in their hands. It was so sad and beautiful all at the same time.
It’s amazing what happened during those 14 days at Saint Monica’s.
Our lives changed.
What all of us have done to change the lives of those girls and to the hundreds of others that we donated
pencils, medical supplies and of course underwear. All the donations meant so much. The girls felt kindness, they felt valued, and they felt loved.
And it was all so very simple.
We got on a plane and opened our hearts. It is truly that simple. My goal was to do my best and try to change the life of one child. But with all your help and support, we were able to change the lives of all the girls. They kept telling us again and again that no one has ever shown this kind of love and generosity. And this is just the beginning.
What I have learned is that all it takes is an open mind and a loving heart. It can happen in your own home, in your neighborhood, in your own country, or it could take you to a part of the world that you have only dreamt about. If you open your heart you can learn so much about life and about yourself.
I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of these girls lives. I’m the lucky one. I’m the one that received more than I could have ever imagined. My work has only begun.
This is just my beginning.
If you would see me right now, you’d know i have the biggest smile on my face and tears in my eyes! Bravo Rocky! I’m thrilled, honored, elated to take part in the future of MFFO!!!
Rocky, I am more then sure that this trip has changed you,You now have seen first hand what we all really need to see to truely understand..And though you I think we will ALL get to feel what you felt being there with those beautiful children..Your an amazing woman and I feel that MFFO will go very far in this project to help out africa!! I say ROCK ON !!
What a blessing that you gave those girl. The emotional part had to be hard. But if it weren’t for you and all the donations that you received who knows what would have happened. You are a BLESSED woman. And I wish that I could do MUCH more then I have. YOU go girl

I love reading your post, I may not replay each and everyone, but I do read them. You are a very kind and sweet person and your work is changing lives as well as your own. I have work that I do too and it is people like you that inspire me to continue my work even when the going gets tough for me and my family we still find the means to help others and that is a good feeling.

Great job! It is obvious (from your pic) that the children were happy — it is wonderful that while in the process of making a difference in their lives you also were able to enjoy the spiritual rewards of helping others.
You are a very inspiring person. Not too many people would do what you did for others. Your the kind of person that makes people want to live better.
