My name is Rocky. I have had a dream to go to Africa since I was in High School. It has taken me almost 20 years to attain that goal. I am glad I waited. My reasons for going are so very different.

Today, I want to make a difference. That’s it. I believe in my heart I will.

  1. God bless your travels! I trust that you will indeed be changed by your experience.

I’ve known many who have dedicated their lives to live in the country of Africa. It never leaves you. It gets in your viens and you never, never forget. Be blessed my friend as you begin this incredible adventure. You are traveling a path that many have befopre you. It is awesome that you have the opportunity to pour out of yourself to so many in need. But the amazing thing is what you will rec’ in return. It will out weight all that you are carrying tangibly yet wont wear out. The spirit of the people in Africa is amazing. Their spirit and zest for life along with their soul…the soul of the people is something that can only be experienced. Go in peace and be safe my friend. We await your return. I too will try to read your journals and follow along side you as you walk this adventure.

  4. Rocky and Juli: How proud I am of both of you!
How proud Mammaw Turner would be of your amazing journey. I enjoy visiting the website, daily, to vicariously share in your special adventures. I believe that her spirit (Mammaw’s) is alive, as are all who have left the physical plane, and that she may well be right there in Africa (in spirit) with you. We, who are still in our earthly bodies in the Turner family, I’m sure, are so proud of you both! To bring such love, joy and pleasure to little ones in need, is a precious gift for them and for both of you. “Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.” With much love and aloha, I pray for your peace, and safe return. (see you both in Vegas) “What happens in Africa does’nt stay in Africa,” it effects the entire universe……I love you both, Uncle Noble
